Biedermeier style furniture in our showroom

The Biedermeier style developed principally in Germany and Austria. It featured simplified shapes and details of the Empire style. There are various pieces of furniture that characterize this symmetrical and practical style as such: chairs, armchairs, sofas, and round tables. These comfortable furnishings can be arranged in the Living Room for friendly gatherings. Other furnishings such as the writing desks and secretaries are very interesting with their drop writing surfaces, drawers and niches. The sofa, the most important piece in the Biedermeier styled room, is always well placed.
We are proud to carry Biedermeier style furniture. One of my favorite pieces is a Vitrine by Colombo Mobili manufactured of yew wood and cherry wood. The carved crown, inspired by the hunt, features gold leafing applied by hand. The frame, with an intricately moulded & pierced cornice, rests atop an inlaid apron over tapering feet. Back panel lined with fabric. With interior lighting, glass shelves and two glass doors with locks.
